Malappuram: There is a complaint that the ration goods worth crores which were stored in the Civil Supply Co godown are missing. Ration food items worth more than 2.78 crore rupees stored in the Supplyco godown in Malappuram Tirur Kadungathukund have gone missing.
The irregularity was found during the inspection conducted by the internal audit department. On the complaint of the depot manager, the police registered a case and started investigation. Kalpkanchery police registered a case against eight employees in the incident. Tanur DySP VV Benni has been given charge of the investigation.
Meanwhile, on the instructions of the Supplyco vigilance officer, the Kadakkal police registered a case and started investigation in the incident of missing 2600 sacks of food grains from the Kadakkal godown of Supplyco. The action is based on the report of the Deputy Rationing Controller.
