A key eyewitness in the Nenmara double murder case is afraid to testify, fearing he might be killed like Chenthamara. The witness, who was grazing his goat near the crime scene, heard unusual noises and rushed to the spot, where he reportedly saw Chenthamara attacking Lakshmi with a machete.
On the day of Sudhakaran and Lakshmi’s murder, the witness was on his way to Nelliyampathy. The police later learned through one of his relatives that he had seen Chenthamara killing Lakshmi.
Although the police tracked him down, the witness refused to testify. His identity and details have not been disclosed. The police are struggling as he is unwilling to give a confidential statement or testify in court.
