Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik came to Raj Bhavan and submitted his resignation letter to the Governor

Bhubaneswar: BJD leader Naveen Patnaik has resigned as Chief Minister. He resigned as Chief Minister after the BJP won the assembly elections. With the resignation of Naveen Patnaik, the BJD’s dominance of the last 24 years has come to an end.

BJP will announce new Chief Minister soon. He resigned in the morning. He met Governor Raghudar Das and handed over his resignation letter. The new government will be sworn in soon.The BJP won 78 seats in the 147-member Odisha assembly elections. The ruling BJD managed to win only 51 seats. Congress won 14 seats. 74 MLAs are required for absolute majority.
