Sabarimala: Police officer B Padmakumar, who was under investigation after coming to duty drunk while in charge of the Nilakkal sub-division, has been suspended. Padmakumar is an SI in the Malappuram MSP battalion.
It was alleged that Padmakumar arrived drunk on the 13th. It was alleged that the SI behaved in a way that caused annoyance to the public and devotees. Following this, the SI was subjected to a medical examination.
The examination revealed that the SI was drunk. Following this, the Armed Police DIG assigned the RRRF Asst. Commandant to conduct an investigation against Padmakumar.
