The police officer was found dead in the hotel room. AG Ratheesh (40), a native of Alappuzha, was found dead in a private hotel in Kumali. Ratheesh is a CPO officer at Idukki Vandanmedu Police Station. Ratheesh had told his colleague over the phone that he was going to commit suicide and to prepare for the inquest proceedings. He was on medical leave for the past few days. On Thursday, he left home to go to duty but did not reach the station.
When the family contacted him, his phone was switched off. The phone switched on at around 12 noon and when his colleague contacted him, he hung up saying that he was going to die. During the investigation conducted by the Kumali police, he was found hanging dead in a private hotel in Kumali. The above steps were completed under the leadership of Kumali Police.
