Kannur: Former Kannur District Panchayat President PP Divya has been released from police custody until 5 PM today. Divya was presented in court today, and the police requested this action in order to question her further.
The Thalassery Principal Sessions Court has stated that Divya must be presented back in court at 5 PM. The police have requested her custody for two days. The court inquired if additional time was necessary since questioning had already taken place on the first day of her arrest. Meanwhile, Divya’s bail plea will be considered by the Thalassery Court today, with Manjush, the wife of Naveen Baboo, joining as a party in the plea.
Divya surrendered to the investigation team the day after the court denied her anticipatory bail. She was remanded for 14 days and had been in the Palliakkunnu Women’s Jail. K. Vishwan is the one who filed the bail petition for Divya in the Principal Sessions Court.
