The darshan timings at Sabarimala have been revised. From now on, for all monthly poojas, the temple doors will open at 5:00 AM and close at 1:00 PM in the afternoon. The temple will reopen at 4:00 PM and will close for the night at 10:00 PM after the Harivarasanam recital.
A new schedule has also been introduced for civil darshan (darshan without “Irumudikettu”). Civil darshan will be allowed only after 6:00 AM, following the morning opening of the temple. The time slot for civil darshan will end at 9:30 PM.
The new timings will come into effect from Tuesday. The changes have been made to manage crowd flow efficiently and to provide more darshan time for devotees carrying Irumudikettu.
Additionally, the system allowing pilgrims to bypass the flyover and proceed for darshan through the Balikalpura on both sides of the temple flagpole remains unchanged, according to the Devaswom Board authorities
