Set the stage for online betting; Removed Paytm app from Play Store

Mumbai has been removed from the unauthorized transactions were made to the Google Play Store. The move follows the discovery that Paytm facilitates users to play online games that facilitate betting. Google’s move is a major setback for PDM, which is at the helm of the majority of digital payment transactions in India.

Google today issued new guidelines against gambling policies in India. Google has made it clear on its blog that it will not allow online casinos and will not support gambling apps that facilitate sports betting. Google has stated that it’s against its policy to give specific website links to an app on the PlayStore for games that give users cash prizes.

PDM was removed from the PlayStore following a finding that it did not comply with these rules. PDM has been downloaded by millions of people in India. Google expects all of them to rely on the Google Pay Store for online payments.
