A shooting outside the White House during a news conference by US President Donald Trump. Trump was moved to a safer center. Trump’s news conference continued after the attacker was defeated. The attacker, who was injured in the security forces firing, was reportedly taken to hospital. There was actually a shooting. Someone was taken to the hospital. “I don’t know about that person’s health condition,” Trump told reporters nine minutes later.

The bomber struck shortly afternoon in front of a White House. Security officials later said the gunman shot the secret service officer in the chest. But the motive behind the shooting is unclear. Authorities said the man, who was shot unconscious, was taken to George Washington University Hospital. The press conference hall was closed after the shooting and the president was taken to a safe house. 
Trump praised the Secret Service and said the incident had not affected him in any way. “Looking back over the centuries, the world is a very dangerous place,” Trump told reporters. Trump then returned with a press conference on economics and the stock exchange.
