Passengers were evacuated through the emergency door after smoke rose in the cabin of the Muscat Air India Express flight. Smoke rose in the cabin when the flight was about to take off at 10.30 am. As the passengers panicked, the pilot relayed the information to Air Traffic Control. Soon the fire brigade and CISF commandos arrived.
The passengers were then evacuated through the emergency door in the center of the plane and moved to safety. The Muscat flight with 142 passengers was scheduled to depart at 8.30 am, but due to technical reasons, it was delayed by two hours. That’s when the smoke in the cabin caused panic.
