Thiruvananthapuram: With the formation of two cyclonic circulations, Kerala is likely to experience thunderstorms and rain until November 16, according to a warning from the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The cyclonic circulations located over southern Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep are expected to bring thunderstorms and rain over the next five days.
From today until November 16, isolated areas may experience heavy rainfall. A yellow alert has been issued for Alappuzha and Thrissur districts today and for Ernakulam district on November 16. Isolated heavy rainfall is expected in these regions.
Yesterday, a yellow alert was declared in eight districts: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Idukki, Palakkad, Kozhikode, and Wayanad. Heavy rainfall indicates expected rainfall ranging from 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm over 24 hours.
