Kottayam: Two children drowned in a pond while fishing in Thrikodithanam. 2 students drowned when they came to throw bait in the rock pool of Changanassery Thrikodithanam Chembumpur. The deceased have been identified as Adarsh, a 10th class student and Abhinav, a 6th class student, who live in Ponnupuzhakunni.
The accident happened around 12 noon. As it was a holiday, the neighboring children were going to fishing in the pound . While baiting, a man slipped and fell into a rock pool. While trying to save the second child also fell into the pool.
As it was an empty area, there was no one in the area. After a long time passed, the bodies were found in the pond when the family members and locals searched for the missing children. The bodies of both were shifted to the general hospital in Changanassery.
