Two weeks into the search for Arjun, the wait followed by the family and the country

It has been two weeks today since the rescue mission of Arjuna, a Malayali lorry driver who went missing in a landslide. Arjun’s family heard the decision to temporarily end the search with great concern. Arjun, a native of Kozhikode Kandyakal, went missing on July 19, according to relatives. That very day, it became clear that Arjun and Laurie were caught in the Ankola landslide. Subsequent checks revealed that the last time the lorry’s GPS location worked was at 8.49 am on the 16th.

The river will be inspected today only if the weather is favorable. The move to search only when the weather is favorable is because rain has been predicted for the next 21 days. Meanwhile, the operator of the dredging machine in Thrissur will soon reach Shirur. Dredging machine at site will be checked for suitability. The national highway, which was closed due to landslides, may be opened today.

Arjun’s family responded yesterday that the search for Arjun should not be stopped. Arjun’s sister Anju told the media that the search should not be stopped under any circumstances. The search should continue using modern techniques. Stopping the search suddenly is unbearable. The sister said that the state government and Karnataka government have helped a lot.
