US Imposes Ban on Bulldozer Exports to Israel, Hindering Efforts to Destroy Hamas and Hezbollah Tunnels

The Israeli army is without bulldozers to destroy Hamas tunnels, following a ban imposed by the Biden administration on the export of 134 bulldozers to Israel. Additionally, the U.S. has blocked the shipment of 1,300 military items ordered from Boeing. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have stated that the lack of bulldozers could lead to significant casualties.

Recently, several IDF soldiers were killed, including 21 in the Jabalia refugee camp, many due to explosives. The IDF points out that the lack of sufficient, operational bulldozers has contributed to these casualties, making it challenging to demolish Hamas tunnels.

In northern Israel and along the Lebanese border, large forested areas allegedly contain Hezbollah’s secret tunnels and weapon caches, from where they are believed to launch attacks on northern areas like Galilee and Haifa. The IDF claims that bulldozers are essential to clear these forests and eliminate security threats effectively.
