Cherpulassery: A mother and her child died after the water reservoir collapsed in Vellinezhi, Palakkad. The woman, a non-state worker, and her one-and-a-half-year-old child died. The deceased have been identified as Shaimili (30) and Sameeram.
A native of Bengal, Basudev has a wife and a child. Basudev works in a cow farm. Basudev works in a farm owned by Chettiar Thodi Ratheesh in Parakkund area of Vellinezhi panchayat’s 13th ward. The tragedy occurred when the water tank built of six feet of cut stone collapsed.
