Pathanamthitta. Colleagues filed a complaint with the district collector demanding an investigation into the suicide of Kadampanad village officer Manoj. In the incident, 12 village officers of Adoor taluk filed a complaint with the district collector.
Kadambanad village is an area where illegal soil mining and field filling is rampant. It is alleged that the village officer was under pressure from the local political parties in this regard. The complaint also said that due to this kind of external interference, it was not possible to work properly.
The demand is to investigate whether there was this kind of external intervention in Manoj’s death. The village officers also demanded a thorough investigation into the matter.
