Kochi: A youth was arrested in a case of human trafficking for organ trade. The organ donor Shemir was arrested by the police. Shemir was arrested from Coimbatore. More information will be available only after he is interrogated in detail.

At the beginning of the case, the Palakkad police conducted an investigation, but it was reported that Shemir had left the house for a long time. The investigation team then entered Tamil Nadu. The police had arrested the main suspect in the case a week ago. Ballamkonda Ramaprasad, popularly known as Prathapan, the ringleader of the Hyderabad racket, was arrested. His method is to find people online and persuade them to become organ donors.

The fourth accused in the case, Madhu, a native of Aluva, is in Iran. The investigation team has started efforts to bring him home. Earlier they got information about Shemir but the police could not find him. There was concern about his health condition. However, by the time the police reached Tamil Nadu, Shemir had shifted his residence. He was finally arrested from Coimbatore after a search.
