Perumbavoor: A young woman drowned while taking a bath in Periyar. The accident happened in Perumbavoor, Ernakulam. The deceased is Jomol (25) of Thundiil in Chengannur Edanad Mayal. Jomol came to Perumbavoor to attend a colleague’s wedding.
Jomol and others took a bath in the Periyar River at Panamkuruthottam in Perumbavoor. They tried to save Jomole who drowned in the river but could not.
Later Jomole body was found by the locals and the fire force. She was brought to the hospital but was declared dead. The police informed that the body will be handed over to the relatives after legal procedures.
