PK Sasi, who faced party action, was removed from two more positions. The decision was made at the Palakkad district secretariat. He was removed from the positions of CITU district president and heavy laborers’ union president.
The CPM district secretariat has decided to let the government decide on the matter of removing the KTDC chairman. CPM Palakkad district committee member PN Mohanan will become the CITU district president.
The party took action against PK Sasi following the findings of the investigation commission that he had committed corruption. The state leadership had earlier approved the disciplinary action taken against PK Sasi. The decision was to remove him from all elected positions.
