Actor Siddique’s Anticipatory Bail Plea in Rape Case Postponed for Two Weeks

Delhi: Actor Siddique’s anticipatory bail plea in rape case postponed for two weeks. The Supreme Court has announced that the interim order which has so far prevented the arrest will continue. The state government argued in the court that Siddique was destroying evidence and not cooperating with the investigation. Siddique also asked the court to give time to file a counter affidavit to the state government’s affidavit. Considering this, the case was adjourned for consideration after two weeks.

At the same time, the court again inquired how the delay of eight years came about. Senior advocate V Giri appeared for Siddique. The complainant’s lawyer told the court that many people are hesitant to go against the superstar and had already raised the issue on Facebook before filing the complaint. The question of the court was that the case is not after eight years.

Siddique had submitted an affidavit in the Supreme Court yesterday in the rape case. Siddique’s affidavit stated that he appeared before the investigating officer and handed over the evidence and phone number information in his possession as requested by the police. He doesn’t have old phones. Not using an iPad. The police are following him illegally. He has filed a complaint regarding this. He and his family members were followed by unknown persons in private vehicles. It is also alleged that this was done on the instructions of senior police officers. The written reply given by the police to the complaint filed by Siddique has also been attached in the additional affidavit.
