Kochi: Actor Shine Tom Chacko, who was arrested in a drug case, is reportedly preparing to approach the court. Sources indicate that Shine and his family have sought legal advice. He is expected to argue that he has been wrongly implicated in a case in which he has no involvement.
Legal proceedings are likely to begin after the results of scientific tests are received. If the results turn out to be in his favor, he is expected to approach the High Court claiming that the police have falsely accused him. He may also argue that he was deliberately framed in the case.
Police are currently investigating Shine’s financial records. The case has been filed against him for alleged drug use, conspiracy, and destruction of evidence. According to the police, Shine jumped out of his hotel room on Wednesday night in an attempt to destroy evidence. Hair and nail samples were collected to determine drug use. The forensic test results from the Thiruvananthapuram lab may take up to a month to be completed, as per sources.
