Excise Issues Notice to Shine Tom Chacko and Sreenath Bhasi for Questioning

Excise officials have issued notices to actors Shine Tom Chacko and Sreenath Bhasi in connection with the hybrid ganja case in Alappuzha. They have been directed to appear for questioning on Monday. The notice was sent after collecting WhatsApp chats and other digital evidence. Police have reportedly found that Sreenath Bhasi had more frequent conversations with Tasleema.

Tasleema Sultana, one of the accused in the hybrid ganja case, had informed the court that she knew Shine Tom Chacko and other film personalities. However, she told the media that she had no drug-related transactions with them. Tasleema Sultana and Firoz were caught by the excise team with hybrid ganja worth ₹2 crore. The accused reportedly stated that the contraband was intended for prominent figures in the film industry.

The narcotics team seized 3 kilograms of hybrid ganja during a raid based on a tip-off conducted on the coastal road in Omanappuzha. The accused had arrived from Ernakulam in a car and were apprehended near a private homestay close to Alappuzha beach. Further questioning of the accused led to revelations about their connections with the actors.
