Actress assault case, memory card illegally checked three times

Kochi: The report on the change of hash value in the memory card in the actress attack case is out. The district judge’s report points out that the memory card was illegally checked in three courts. The Angamaly Magistrate and the staff of the District Judge’s office checked the memory card.

Magistrate Leena Rasheed kept the memory card in private custody. At the same time, Athijeevatha approached the High Court demanding that the fact-finding report protecting the culprits be quashed. An investigation was conducted under the direction of the District Judge into the allegations of leakage of the memory card in the case of assault on the actress as directed by the High Court. The investigation report contains findings that corroborate the allegations of Athijeevatha.

It was found that the memory card was checked illegally in all the three courts. According to the report, the Angamaly Magistrate, who had heard this case earlier, had privately held the memory card for a year and examined it at various stages. In 2018, the District Judge’s PA also put the memory card in his own phone and checked this memory card. But he has stated that this phone was lost in 2022. Therefore, it has not been possible to confirm whether it has been tested on this phone.

This memory card has also been examined by the Chief Magistrate of the trial court. The inquiry report does not recommend any further investigation or action in this matter. The report also states that the information on the memory card was not misused as part of the inspection.
