Reports suggest that Arif Mohammed Khan, who has completed his term as Governor, will step down. Admiral Devendra Kumar Joshi is likely to become the next Governor of Kerala. Devendra Kumar, a former Chief of the Indian Navy, is currently serving as the Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
In addition to Arif Mohammed Khan, Governors Manoj Sinha, P. S. Sreedharan Pillai, Thawar Chand Gehlot, Bandaru Dattatreya, and Anandiben Patel are also expected to be replaced. It is speculated that Ram Madhav, an RSS leader and former BJP General Secretary, may succeed Manoj Sinha, who has completed four years as the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.
Admiral Devendra Kumar Joshi served as the 21st Chief of the Indian Navy from August 31, 2012, to February 26, 2014. He resigned from his position as Navy Chief, taking responsibility for a series of accidents, including one involving INS Sindhuratna.
