Thiruvananthapuram: Balabhaskar’s father, Unni, has made serious allegations regarding his son’s death, claiming it was a murder and accusing Arjun of being involved. These allegations come after Arjun, Balabhaskar’s driver, was arrested in a case related to gold theft.
“From the beginning, I suspected Arjun’s involvement in Balabhaskar’s death. Our claim has now been proven correct. The gold smuggling mafia’s interference led to the accident that day. However, the CBI has not pursued the investigation in that direction. The only thing the CBI has found is that Arjun was driving the vehicle. Arjun has filed a defamation case against me. Legal actions are becoming a burden,” said Balabhaskar’s father.
He further stated that the gold mafia and Arjun were behind his son’s death. “The gold mafia doesn’t care about who kills whom; they just want their way. It is said that they took away 3 kilograms of gold, yet the police have not been able to catch them. No justice has been served in this investigation. The CBI’s second report still suggests it was an accidental death. We understand that they too have been influenced,” he added.
Arjun was arrested in connection with a case where a jeweler from Perinthalmanna was knocked down by a car and 3.5 kilograms of gold was stolen. Arjun, who was also involved in taking the stolen gold to another car in Cherypulassery, was driving the vehicle during Balabhaskar’s accident on September 25, 2018. There have been allegations of Arjun’s links to gold smuggling syndicates.
