Muslim League state president Panakkad Sadiqali Shihab Thangal has claimed that the Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya also belongs to the Waqf. At a time when the Waqf Board is staking its claim on many historical monuments in the country, the Muslim League is finally coming forward to claim the Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya as a reality, after a long wait for Hindus.
Panakkad Sadiqali Shihab Thangal is making a strange statement that the Babri Masjid stood on waqf land. He complied only because of the Supreme Court’s verdict on the Ram Janmabhoomi issue. That is why the Muslim Personal Law Board also accepted it, Sadiqali Thangal said.
Although the law is followed, the Muslim League’s position is that the lands claimed by the Waqf belong to the Waqf. KM Shaji and ET Muhammad Basheer had come forward with a statement that the Munambam land also belongs to the Waqf. The Waqf has claimed rights to many lands and about 250 protected monuments. The Muslim League is taking a stand in favor of this. The claim on the Ram Janmabhoomi is a continuation of this. Their goal is to take over most of the country’s land from the Waqf.
