Kochi: Bobby Chemmanur, who was arrested in a defamatory remark case and spent time in jail on remand, is relieved. The High Court has granted bail to Bobby Chemmanur.
The condition is a bond of Rs 50,000 and the surety of two persons. The High Court clarified that body shaming is unacceptable to the society. When requested, one must appear before the investigating officer. The order states that the conditions must be complied with, otherwise the bail will be cancelled. Meanwhile, while considering the bail application, the court had also examined some visuals of Bobby Chemmanur. This includes the one given by the prosecution and the one given by the actor. The court then asked why this man is doing all this. The court openly stated that what Bobby Chemmanur did was a ulterior motive. None of this should be said in public. There is no agreement with such acts. The High Court also clarified that it was out of their dignity that they did not oppose Bobby at the function.
The High Court had verbally said this morning that Bobby Chemmanur could be granted bail. The detailed order following this has now been released. The government had informed the court that Bobby Chemmanur is a person who has been continuously making such double-meaning statements. His lawyer had stated in the court that Bobby Chemmanur is ready to make any compromise to get out of jail. While reading the petition, the court had expressed dissatisfaction with some of the statements made by Bobby Chemmanur against Honey Rose. Subsequently, senior advocate B. Raman Pillai, appearing for Bobby, informed the court that he was withdrawing all these remarks.
