Kochi: ED says bribery for Karakonam medical admission, investigation in final stage. Medical College Director Bennett Abraham and CSI Sabha Secretary T.T. Praveen is also questioned by the Enforcement Directorate. Both are being interrogated at Kochi ED office.
The Karakonam bribery case investigation is in its final stages. Notice was given to both of them and they were asked to appear today. At eleven o’clock they started questioning both of them.
According to the complaint, there were transactions worth Rs. 500 crores. The case was earlier investigated by the Crime Branch, after which the Enforcement Directorate took over the investigation.
Meanwhile, a notice was sent to both of them just before the election. The BJP candidate from Thiruvananthapuram had already expressed fears that it might have affected the election.
