More revelations have been made by the boyfriend who was arrested in the case of brutally raping a 19-year-old girl in Chottanikkara. Accused Anoop has given a statement to the investigation team that he had made the girl addicted to drugs.
Anoop’s shocking revelation is that the girl was brutally beaten several times on Saturday night, and unable to bear the brutal beating, the girl tried to hang herself using a shawl. With this, the shawl was cut and the girl was thrown to the ground.
When the girl tried to scream, he covered her mouth and nose and suffocated her. With this, the girl lost consciousness. Thinking she was dead, he escaped on a bike with his friends in the morning. The accused also revealed that he had taken money and gold from the girl.
Meanwhile, the girl’s condition remains critical. The girl remains on a ventilator. The head injury is more serious. Hospital authorities indicate that the girl is not responding to medications.
The police had registered the arrest of Anoop, a native of Thalayolaparamba, who is the friend of the girl who was taken into custody in the incident. The police have registered a case of attempt to murder. A rape case has also been filed. The police will question Anoop again in detail today.
