Thiruvananthapuram: Senior Congress leader A.K.Anthony said that the coming elections will be the end of the Modi regime. He also said that the Citizenship Amendment Act will be withdrawn if the Front of India comes to power. Anthony added that they should think about what will happen if the BJP comes to power.
The election is going to be held where the people will decide whether the idea of India should survive. If my health permits, I will do whatever it takes to prevent the Narendra Modi led BJP government from coming to power again, which is trying to undermine the constitution and fundamental rights. “The Congress will go to any length to oppose citizenship in the name of religion,” Antony said.
There have been changes in citizenship laws, never based on religion. The Citizenship Amendment Act is the beginning of perils to come.
A.K.Anthony said that campaigning in Pathanamthitta is due to health condition. It’s a do or die choice. He also clarified that the campaign will be conducted according to the KPCC list.
