Controversy at Koodalmanikyam Temple Festival as Police forcefully Switched Off Shop Lights and Entertainment Equipment

Thrissur: After the Thrissur Pooram, there is a complaint of continuous police interference in the temple festivals. The complaint is that during the Koodalmanikyam temple festival, the lights of the shops were forcibly turned off at night in the exhibition grounds and the entertainment equipment was disrupted.

Hundreds of people had come here at this time. According to the police, it was suggested to turn off the lights in order to avoid a conflict situation in rush hours. 10 days 24 hours continuous programs are organized in Koodalmanikyam temple.

Due to this, the area is crowded with devotees after lighting the lamp at night till dawn. This time there are restrictions that have not been imposed so far. The world famous Thrissur Pooram was a blatant violation of customs. The criticism that is being raised is that this is the arrogance of the government and the police towards Hindu temples and beliefs.
