CPIM Worker Throws Explosive at Leaders,One Injured

Complaint that an explosive device was thrown at CPIM workers at Kasaragod. A woman who was standing nearby when the incident took place was injured in the attack. Ratheesh, a resident of Ambalathara Lalur, a CPIM worker, threw the explosive device. He is accused in the murder case. Local secretary and others escaped unhurt as they ran away.

The incident happened last night around nine o’clock. The injured local woman, a native of Kannoth Thatt, is undergoing treatment at Amina Hospital. It is reported that the injury is not serious. Something hit the rock in front and caught his eye. Amina also said that the attack took place when the children were standing.

Ratheesh threw the explosive device at local secretaries Anoop, Baburaj and DYFI Regional Secretary Arun Balakrishnan. The attack took place when CPM leaders came to Shamir’s house for a home visit
Meanwhile, the CPM said that Ratheesh has no connection with the party since 2018. Ratheesh has links with the drug mafia. The CPM also said that Ratheesh was attacking because of an earlier problem.
