Cyber Abuse Case Against Boby Chemmanur, Special Team Appointed for Investigation

Kochi: A special team has been appointed to investigate the cyber abuse case filed by actress Honey Rose. The team will be led by Central ACP Jayakumar. The investigation will be overseen by the Central CI, and members of the Cyber Cell will also be part of the team. The Kochi Police have stated that the investigation team will be expanded if necessary.

Meanwhile, based on the complaint, the police are in the process of issuing a notice to Boby Chemmanur. Additionally, the police have sought information from Facebook regarding the cyber abuse case registered on the complaint of Honey Rose. The actress has handed over screenshots of offensive comments made against her, including on Instagram, to the police. The Kochi City Police Commissioner confirmed that 20 individuals who posted obscene comments have been identified, and action will be taken.

Honey Rose posted on Instagram: “Boby Chemmanur, I have lodged a complaint with the Ernakulam Central Police Station regarding the obscene and offensive remarks you have been repeatedly making against me. Complaints against your associates, who share your mindset, will follow. While you may trust in the power of your money, I trust in the strength of the legal system in India.”

Earlier, during the inauguration of a gold trading establishment, the actress publicly criticized the owner’s double-meaning remarks and comments. This led to severe cyber abuse, prompting Honey Rose to approach the police and file a case against those who made obscene comments. However, in the initial complaint, the actress had not named Boby Chemmanur. Later, she visited the Ernakulam Central Police Station in person to file the complaint and made the matter public through a letter to Boby Chemmanur on Instagram.
