The Kerala High Court will reconsider today the suo motu petition related to actor Dileep and his entourage receiving VIP treatment for darshan at Sabarimala. The Travancore Devaswom Board had strongly criticized the incident the previous day.
In connection with the petition, the Travancore Devaswom Board and the Sabarimala Special Commissioner will submit detailed reports today. The Executive Officer is expected to inform the High Court that action has been taken against four individuals, including the Assistant Executive Officer of the Devaswom Board.
Along with actor Dileep, Sarath an accused in the Kochi actress assault case and Dileep’s manager Appunni reportedly availed the VIP darshan. The High Court took up the case suo motu after it was alleged that Dileep and his group spent more than ten minutes in the front row for darshan at Sannidhanam, causing inconvenience to other devotees.
