Mumbai police have initiated an investigation following a WhatsApp message claiming that two ISI terrorists have infiltrated the country and are planning to assassinate the Prime Minister through a bombing.
The initial probe indicates that the message originated from Ajmer, Rajasthan. It was received on the Mumbai Traffic Police helpline via WhatsApp.
An FIR has been registered, and a detailed investigation is underway. Police suspect that the message could have been sent under the influence of alcohol or due to other issues, but the matter is being treated with utmost seriousness.
