Diocese of Thamarassery will not screen The Kerala Story today. A decision will be taken after the KCYM diocesan meeting regarding the screening of the film. The meeting is in the evening. It is reported that the Diocese of Thamarassery has given instructions to avoid controversy. KCYM had decided to screen the film on a unit basis from today.
The Diocese of Thamarassery decided to screen the film during holiday classes for students, named ‘Suvisheshotsavam’. Thamarassery KCYM had earlier alleged that terrorist recruitment was going on.
300 Christian girls were converted. Richard John also responded that there is an organized movement. Earlier, Kerala Story was shown in churches under Idukki Diocese which was controversial. Many people came forward for and against the exhibition and the issue became a big debate.
