Following the release of the Hema Committee report, shocking revelations about the film industry have come to public attention. However, the most discussed term after the report has been “power group.”
Director Priyanandan has claimed that there is a “power group” in the Malayalam film industry. He stated that such a power lobby was responsible for the elimination of his film starring Prithviraj in 2004. Priyanandan added that he became a martyr due to this power group.
After six days of his second film ‘Ath Mandhara Poovalla’, Power Lobby intervened and stopped the shoot. Mammootty and Mohanlal can say that there is no power group. They may not have had that experience.
Equality should be ensured where everyone can work in the film industry. Priyanandanan said that such power centers should be overcome.
