The death toll in Gujarat has crossed 36 due to the rains that have been going on for days. The Central Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of heavy rains in the state for the next 5 days. The heavy rains have submerged all the major cities and aggravated the traffic jam. People from the disaster-affected areas are staying in relief camps. At the same time, efforts are underway to restore electricity in areas affected by rain.

Meanwhile, many parts of Andhra Pradesh were under water due to heavy rains. So far eight people have been officially confirmed dead in the floods and landslides.
