Thiruvananthapuram: Isolated heavy rainfall is likely in Kerala till Thursday. According to the weather department’s warning, there is also a possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong winds blowing at speeds of 30 to 40 kmph in isolated places. As lightning can be dangerous, the public has been advised to remain extremely cautious.
Meanwhile, daytime temperatures continue to rise. The ultraviolet (UV) index is expected to be high between 10 AM and 3 PM. Authorities have advised people to avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during these hours.
Prolonged exposure to UV rays can lead to sunburn, skin diseases, eye problems, and other health issues. It is recommended to use hats, umbrellas, and sunglasses when stepping outside during the day. Wearing cotton clothes that cover the body completely is also advisable.
