Election related conflict in Perambra; UDF activists taken into police custody from hospital

Perambra: UDF workers who were arrested in the election-related conflict in Perampra were taken to the hospital and taken into custody by the police. The police reached the hospital this morning and took them into custody and put them in a lock-up.

4 UDF workers and 2 LDF workers were injured in the clash between LDF and UDF workers. UDF activists Lijas Mawattail, Jasser Tayullatil, Sameer Mapetta and Vikas Maruthodi were taken into custody by the police and taken to the station.

UDF activists came forward against the police action. The UDF alleges that the injured were forcibly discharged from the hospital and taken to the police station. They are not even able to stand. Due to the intervention from above, the police went to the hospital and took the seriously injured people into custody.
At the same time, the UDF alleged that the LDF workers have not been arrested yet.
