Four people complained in Nadapuram that they were not allowed to vote despite receiving tokens for those who stood in the queue

Nadapuram: Those who stood in the queue after six o’clock were not allowed to vote despite receiving the token. Four people filed a complaint. The incident took place in the booth of Vanimel Crescent School, Nadapuram. It is reported that four UDF supporters could not vote.

The position of the presiding officer was that he would not be allowed to vote as the time had passed. With this, a problem arose in the place. The collector intervened in the incident at 11.55 pm. The collector informed that the presiding officer’s decision should be accepted as it was late. With this, all four lost the opportunity to vote.

The agents at the polling station were not ready to accept this action. The officials were returning with the voting machine without the signature of the polling agents. It is reported that they were not near the polling booth when the token number was called. Later, when he asked to vote, the presiding officer did not give permission. This is how the dispute arose. Those who lost their vote say that they will consider legal action.
