Kochi: Muslim League district president Hamza Parakkat has been removed from all elected posts. State President Sayyid Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal took action based on the recommendation of the inquiry committee based on the allegations related to the utilization of funds for the construction of the League Ernakulam District Committee office.
The leaders of the Muslim League, Youth League, MSF and STU in the district held a meeting to protest against the action and decided to call an elaborate convention at Aluva on the 3rd of next month. The leaders’ meeting was held in Kochi under the leadership of three vice presidents, four secretaries and state office bearers.
Controversies related to the office bearer election in the district led to Hamza Parakkat’s ouster. At the recent Youth League meeting in Aluva, there was an argument between the two factions of the party. The management had received complaints against this.
