New Delhi: Union Minister J.P. Nadda said that the establishment of All India Institute of Medical Science in Kerala is under consideration by the Central Government.
JP Nadda said that expansion of AIIMS to more states is under consideration and Kerala is one of them. Nadda informed the Rajya Sabha. The MPs from the state raised a ruckus in the Lok Sabha last day demanding that AIIMS be granted to Kerala. But last day he was not ready to give an assurance in this regard.
He was replying to John Brittas’ question in the Rajya Sabha. Brittas pointed out that the state has identified a site in Kozhikode and submitted the plan to the Center for setting up AIIMS.
