7 Crore fraud at Supplyco’s Kadavantra outlet. The Kadavantra police registered a case against Satheesh Chandran, the former assistant manager of the institution. A case was registered against him on the basis of finding that a fraud of 7 crores had taken place.
The fraud was done by creating a fake purchase order and misusing the GST number. It has also been found that imported maize was diverted in contracts with companies in North India. A case has been registered under IPC 468,469,471 and 66C and 66D of the IT department.
The maize was sold to three companies namely Jeeva Lifestyle Private Limited in Mumbai, S.S.Empire and Pattodia Brothers in Rajasthan. A fake purchase order was created and sent through two mail IDs for the purchase of maize. According to the FIR, the company’s GST number was misused and documents were forged.
