A photo has emerged showing one of the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir standing with a gun. This is the first time an image of the attackers has been released.
Initial reports suggest that Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Saifullah Kasuri is the mastermind behind the Pahalgam attack. It is believed that Kasuri coordinated the attack from Pakistan. Sources indicate that reconnaissance of hotels was carried out prior to the strike. Reports also say that a seven-member group was involved in the attack, arriving in two separate teams.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has reached Pahalgam to assess the situation on the ground. Search operations are currently focused on three specific zones to locate the terrorists.
Meanwhile, an NIA (National Investigation Agency) team has arrived in Srinagar and is expected to reach Pahalgam soon. A motorcycle without a number plate has been recovered from the attack site, which will be a key focus in the ongoing investigation. Amit Shah is also expected to visit the government hospital in Anantnag to meet the injured victims, with the hospital currently under tight security.
