Kochi: The sentencing of 14 convicted accused in the Periya twin murder case was completed today. The court awarded double life imprisonment to 10 accused, including accused 1 to 8 and 10 and 15. Kripesh’s father, Krishnan, welcomed the court’s verdict on the punishment of the accused.
He repeatedly asked the court to give the death penalty to the accused. That was what he expected. However, he said he was relieved to get a double life sentence. The court has also sentenced four accused to five years of rigorous imprisonment. The father also said that a five-year prison sentence is a lesser sentence.
He wants the remaining accused to get life imprisonment. Krishnan said that he will decide whether to appeal after consulting with the party and his lawyer.
