Thrissur: An autorickshaw caught fire in Thrissur. The CNG auto caught fire. The incident took place near Shakthan stand this morning. The auto caught fire near the vegetable market near the skywalk at Shakthan stand.
The fire is believed to have been caused by a gas leak from a CNG autorickshaw. Bikers were the first to see the fire spreading from the auto. They then informed the driver. The driver immediately stopped the vehicle and escaped.
There were no passengers in the vehicle. The fire force arrived on information and extinguished the fire. The CNG tank of the auto was not on fire. Therefore, a major explosion was avoided.
