G. Priyanka has taken charge as the District Collector of Palakkad. A native of Karnataka, Priyanka is a 2017 batch IAS officer. She has previously served as the Director of the Department of Social Justice and the Department of Women and Child Development, and as the Sub Collector of Kozhikode. After earning a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, she also completed a post-graduate degree in Public Management and Public Administration.
The new Collector expressed her interest in working for the growth of the district in the agricultural, industrial, and tourism sectors. “Today, I take charge as the District Collector of Palakkad. Known for its unique culture and heritage, Palakkad is Kerala’s rice bowl. As I begin my journey in this district, which thrives with agricultural, industrial, and tourism activities alongside natural beauty, I hope for the support and cooperation of the people of Palakkad. Together, let us work towards a brighter future,” the Collector wrote on Facebook.
