Thiruvananthapuram: H1N1 has been confirmed in a student in the district. The disease was confirmed in a fourth class student of Vettiara LP School, Kalambalam Navaikulam. The child has been admitted to Kottiam Kims Hospital. After the disease was confirmed on Monday morning, the hospital authorities informed the health department.
H1N1 symptoms
Symptoms of swine flu or H1N1 influenza are similar to the common flu. The main symptoms are fever, body aches, sore throat, cough, shortness of breath, vomiting, chills and fatigue. People with asthma, diabetes, and heart disease are more likely to develop the disease. Pregnant women, diabetics, people with other chronic diseases and elderly people should be extra careful.
