Half-Price Scam: Key Documents Debunk K.N. Anandakumar’s Claim of Innocence

Thiruvananthapuram: Crucial documents have refuted the claim of Sai Gramam Global Trust Executive Director K.N. Anandakumar that he was not involved in the half-price scam that duped thousands of people. The documents reveal that the NGO Confederation is a shell company, that Anandakumar is the sole authority of the trust, and that K.N. Anandkumar, Ananthu Krishnan, Sheeba Suresh, Jayakumaran Nair and Beena Sebastian are the founding members of the NGO Confederation.

The documents also state that all five have the right of succession. The chairman Anand Kumar also has the power to nominate more members. Although he is the chairman for life, Anand Kumar can resign at any time. Anand Kumar also has the power to nominate a new person. At the same time, the Crime Branch is conducting a thorough investigation into the role of Kochi-based social activist Beena Sebastian, along with Saigramam chief KN Anand Kumar, in the half-price fraud case.

The investigation team believes that Beena, the chairperson of the NGO Confederation formed by the main accused Ananthukrishnan, had already received a tip-off about the fraud. Beena Sebastian is one of the well-known NGO activists in Central Kerala . Beena, who heads an organization called Cultural Academy for Peace, was also the face of the NGO Confederation. Beena, who is also the chairperson of the Confederation, was an active presence in all the half-price material distribution programs organized by Ananthukrishnan throughout Central Kerala and Malabar.
